To go along with the
Evel Knievel exhibit at the Harley Davidson Museum the theme for this month's
Iron Cupcake Challenge was Extreme and the bakers didn't disappoint. Some went with the Evel theme, I loved this display and they were the Queen's choice. The flame spun and the cupcakes were extreme in ingredients in these "Flippin The Bird" cupcakes:
"A blood orange hummingbird cake, spiked with pink peppercorns. Soaked with Mount Gay Rum and locally grown fresh mint. Iced with a cardamom & mandarin orange Buttercream, finished with orange and pineapple "caviar"."
And these "Extreme Cherry Chocolate Kahlua" cupcakes:
Some went with Extreme "sports" like these "Russian Roulette" Extreme Chocolate, with the warning to "choose wisely some with a special surprise."
"If going over a waterfall in a barrel has already been done, try it in an inner tube for extreme danger & fun" with these Root Beer Floats, they even had a mist and won sampler's vote for display:
And Extreme weather wasn't left out with these Passion Fruit filled Key Lime cupcakes with a Rum Browned Sugar Frosting by
Susie's Homemade.

Ohmygosh, how fun! These cupcakes look absolutely amazing. We were thinking of buying tickets but found out the event sold out and we were too late! I'm glad you had a fun time!!
