Week in the Life: Sunday

And finally the last page for the week - woo hoo! This was a fun day - heading out to Iron Cupcake with a friend. This month the theme was Cheese and the creativity didn't run short. You get to pick a dozen cupcakes to try & then vote for your favorite in both Taste & Display.

We filled our egg cartons & then dug in - trying to do our best Top Chef judges impersonations, lol, as we discussed if it was really a Cupcake or had it moved into Muffin  territory...or even more an Appetizer.

Afterwards, a "quick" stop at the grocery store for a few things to get through the week and Hot Ham & Rolls for dinner. Then a bit of TV watching before starting another week in our lives.

So glad I stuck with it and now that I've been through this once I can't wait to try it again - taking more pictures, more notes & adding some things I've been inspired by pages from others.

Now back to focusing on BPS classes & there are many at the moment!

Week in the Life: Saturday

 

On to the weekend - by now the kids were on to the timer.

Can you tell?

 

A lot of times DH has to work on Saturdays so we're pretty lazy/casual, especially on a rainy day. A bird had decided to built a nest right on the deck rail - not the best place with two curious puppies but it was fun to watch the bird bringing in different items and by the end of the day it was a complete warm fuzzy nest.

 

 

Working on Sunday now - it was a Sweet day! ;)

I love that part of the day when you notice everyone is quiet & content - what's your favorite part of the weekend?

Week in the Life: Friday

Getting excited to see the album complete now - even though I have to go back through and double check some of my smaller pictures since I printed some sheets with 2 days on it I was easily confused & noticed my pizza lunch was in Thursday. Oops.

Fridays are a nice welcome, no homework, don't have to worry about clean school clothes or cold lunches for the next day, etc, etc. And while the DH usually is at work he took a half-day and headed out to the library.

After dinner & some movies or games and everyone is settled in I head to the scraproom to video chat crop with my scrappy Twitter friends - one nearby, some out of state and one in Canada. :) This night our free time (or kids) didn't allow the 5 of us at once.

Hoping to finish the weekend pages tonight in our video-crop and catch-up on (too) many neglected BPS classes over the weekend.

Week in the Life: Thursday

Over halfway done with the album now! :) This day was pretty much a typical day. The kids trying to squeeze everything they want to do in the few hours from after-school to bedtime - less homework of course. And even though it was painful to take pics of the waiting to paint living room since "The Night I Decided To Rip The Wallpaper Border Off While The Husband Was At Work" & the too small for space/makeshift lamp - it's our reality so I did it.

 

Waiting on journaling as I had Tweeted and marked as favorite but like technology seems to do when you are relying on it - it wasn't working.

I had a hair appointment and Aidan decided to go with me, on the way out the door he told me something like:

"I brushed my hair, I brushed my teeth, I sprayed (cologne) so I'm attractive to the girls."

I tried more shots with the self-timer & it didn't go over well at first but I ignored  the complaints and captured the shots of a "normal" day. Glad I did, for myself & them.

 

And while the gas prices are troublesome - wondering if we won't one day look back and say remember when...

Week in the Life: Wednesday

 

This is the day I struggled with the WITL project. I had forgotten to take pictures as kids waited for bus and all I really did (besides throwing dinner in the crockpot & laundry - which I didn't snap) was scrap and watch & return Netflix. I was looking over my pictures and just wasn't happy with what I was capturing.

Then I had my little WITL boo hoo/cheer-up session on Twitter and headed outside to get some sun on my head and capture all that was blooming around the yard.

And as you will see on Thursday's page - I captured more of our every day life.

Week in the Life: Tuesday

Last Tuesday was an unusually busy day. I had a lot of pics but seems I forgot to take pics in the evening of the kids. Oops. And another oops is since I'm scanning at 3AM, see I cut some edges off as well as saving the journaling for when I'm more awake.

More screen shots of blog & Twitter, the kids heading off to school, a quick run to the bank and more tulips getting ready to bloom.

The rest of the day was a trip to the scrapbook store followed by lunch & Gelato. I mixed Coconut and Chocolate to create a Mounds bar - so good. After I stopped to  pick up a TV I bought from my shopping/lunch friend, a quick run into the grocery store to get home and make the family favorite - Tacos for dinner.

Still trying to adjust to digital - having issues with printing correctly and going through a ton of ink & only Day 2! Hoping my printing skills improve before my ink runs out & I can finish the project this week.

Week in the Life: Monday

Last Monday was for sure a "Monday" start to the day. Aidan was not in any mood for pics waiting for the bus as you can see. After school and some fresh air things were a little better. I had no idea what he was writing when I snapped the picture, but it ended up being the little note: "Can I have some soup! I love y" on a piece of paper towel. I scanned it and then added to my journaling card.  I also snapped some pics of my in-town errands.

Another scan was "The Daily News" from Kindergarten that day as Aidan was quoted in it saying he was going to play on the Wii after school and also a pretty piece from some junk mail.

For the fourth page I took screen shots of my blog, calendar, Netflix & the Scrabble game I play on Facebook with Laura. I did get lucky for some pretty pictures - as the first of the tulips bloomed that day.

 

As you may or may not have noticed I changed a few of my supplies I thought I was going to use. Since I was using Ali's templates from Designer Digitals I decided to use this digital paper. If you enlarge one of the pages - you see it really does look glitzy, lovin' it. I printed the full template sheets onto Matte photo paper, cut apart and added to Kraft or into the baseball card protectors.

I have to admit there was a point - especially after seeing Ali's photos, where I thought I was not capturing the right stuff, my pics were in no way as stunning as hers, people were getting sick of having a camera in their face and I was getting frustrated, but in the end I'm glad I stuck it out. Thank you Twitter buds. :)

Week in the Life: Supplies

The day is finally here to begin documenting the next week of our lives. I'm very excited to begin as this is my first attempt at anything like this. I really wanted to take Ali's Album at CKU-Nashville but I felt my life was too boring - and have regretted it ever since. So I'm putting my fears of "What am I going to document in my ordinary life?" aside and going to create a WITL Hybrid album.

While only focusing on the documenting this week, these are the supplies I'll be using:
