Last weekend a few of my tweeps - Laura, April and Heather were discussing Apps (for iphone & droids) and thought I'd share some of my favorites. This is my home screen, the things I go to every day.
Evernote - Love it! I used this while I'm browsing the internet to pin craft and other DIY projects, recipes and class handouts. It's handy to look at recipes in the kitchen or class supply lists when out & about.
Tumblr is where I keep my visual inspiration. Pretty things that inspire me when I'm in a creative funk.
Get Glue - are you on this? I just recently joined - like an Entertainment based Twitter, where you check into what you are reading or watching and then can post that info to Facebook and Twitter. (I know - people really care I'm watching Jack Goes Boating)
Springpad is something I was just looking into but feel now that I'm on Pinterest (& loving it!) and with Evernote I may not need. It is kind of a combination of the two.
For Twitter I was trying out both Plume (TweetDeck) and Seesmic - I decided to go with Seesmic for the lighter screen. Though I use TD on my laptop. Obviously have to have Instant Messaging with Ping Chat & Email communication on there!
And of course have to keep up on life with a Calendar & To Do List. I like the categories divided with - my tasks, @ work, i want it!, grocery and jotter.
I don't use the grocery section but rather Our Groceries, this way I am able to instant msg the DH what he needs to pick up. It also instantly updates both our apps, I can even see him checking things off as he shops.
And while it's maybe not in Droid Marketplace if you have Time Warner Cable you can download this from their website to program your DVRs from your phone! LOVE it! As well as the Redbox app - so nice being able to see what is available at local sites and reserve.
And then web browsing, daily news & weather. There is an option in the Daily Brief for weather but I prefer the more indepth information I get from the Weather Channel app.
Since I have 7 pages of apps - I'll share just one more today - how about Cameras:
Vignette is a great app with so many options I haven't been through them all yet. From being able to choose Holga, Diana or Polaroid to many other options with tints, cinematic & lens effects to name a few.
Retro allows you to choose cameras such as "The Barbl", "Pinhole" and "FudgeCam", color or B&W. Along with settings for self shooting, shutter sounds and flash. (Link to in-depth blogger review)
CyCamera doesn't have many options but good for a quick photo and being able to edit lomo, bright & sharp.
FxCamera is fun for playing around with photos with options like "Andy Warholizer", "SymmetriCam", "Toy" and "Fisheye".
And last but not least is ShootMe - with a quick shake you can take a screen shot of your phone. Used to help create this post!
Hope you found something new or interesting!
Have a nice weekend! We are finally getting a new mattress tomorrow - I am hoping for my first good nights sleep in a LONG time!
