Finding a lot of inspiration in this class - hope you are camping along!
I'm busy "cooking up" the recipe from our third day of Camp. :)
First layout for Camp Scrap over at BPS. While it was a bit time consuming adding all the buttons & bling, love the look and dimension.
I also love the way she embellished the flower with a brad & surrounding pearls - plan on doing that look more often. Downloaded the Miller logo & added to chipboard for a custom embellishment & first layout for the week was done!
Are you in Camp this year? :)
Went to Iron Cupcake last night, held at Discovery World and again it wasn't a disappointment! The challenge this month was to create a Cupcake based on a local restaurant favorite. This one was based on eating at Cubanita's & enjoying a Mojito.
Of course couldn't leave out the very popular hamburger & custard stand we all grew up with here, Kopp's:
And our German heritage was represented with a take on Mader's Strawberry Apple Strudel:
Hope you are having a *SWEET* week too! :)
My take for the "Picnic" prompt on Day 2 of Creativity Boot Camp.
While the photo image came easy the journaling prompt was a bit more of a challenge asking:
"Do you shy away from calling yourself an artist?"
My first response was "Of course! I'm JUST crafty!". But after reading the Day's 2 post and the definition "one who creates objects of beauty" I am trying to let go of the images of what an artist is and other social restraints I feel and absorb the word and let it become a part of who I am and see where it takes me...and accept it. It's gonna take a little time - but I'm on it, lol.
Do you call yourself Artist?
Inside we wrote - "Speeding over to wish you a Happy Father's Day" or a shortened version of it to continue from cover.
Thanks for visiting! Have a good day!
Been reading the prompts and doing some of the journaling for Creativity Boot Camp but just getting to taking pictures. Took a bit to think of what I wanted to capture for the prompt "Ivory", then when I thought of using one of my Elephants it seemed so obvious. I love Elephants and love collecting them in all sorts of mediums - but they have to have their trunks up!
It's good luck you know!
Are you playing along? Please leave a link, I'd love to see!
Have a great weekend! Going to try not to melt here. :)
