Welcome to our "Spread the Love" blog hop! Thanks for stopping by! We hope you are LOVIN' the ideas!
I love Valentine's Day and we usually have a red dinner or home-made heart shaped pizzas & set the table for the Holiday. But this year I wanted to do something a little earlier in the day to celebrate, so created a little something to hang on the kid's doors for when they wake up.
First, take a 10x10 square piece of cardstock and shape into a cone. I found two sets of hands may be a little easier than just one for this. Staple together in back.
Punch 2 holes on each side and tie a knot on the inside of cone. Tie ribbon together in a bow at top. Punch another hole a little off center near top. Add eyelet. Create a little tag & attach with ribbon or DMC. I added a little note on the back of my tag.
And to fill the cone - what else but truffles Now don't get scared non-bakers, lol - these are SUPER easy. See:
Of course you can use better chocolate, but we be on a budget these days!
Melt the can of SC Milk with 3 C (1 1/2 12Oz. bags) of chocolate chips. I like to melt it in on the stove, one pan inside one with some water, low simmer. When melted remove from heat and add 1 Tbs. Vanilla.
Refrigerate for a few hours and then roll into 1-inch balls.
Here are some options for flavors & what to roll them in:
Then I wrapped them in candy foils & added some JuJu hearts. Just a few so it stays light & ribbon holds.
