Project Life: Week 5

PLWK5LTThis week I focused on the every day and my love for Pick Your Plum, The Hunger Games Trilogy and Ryan Gosling, hehe.PLWK5RTAnd searched the web for images to help tell a few stories.
WeekFive copyBecause I keep up so well with classes (wee bit of sarcasm) I decided to try a few more - The Hitchhiker's Guide to Scrapbooking by Shimelle at Two Peas and Christy Tomlinson's Art of Wild Abandonment, an Art Journaling class.

Have you dabbled in any artistic journaling? This will be a new adventure for me! Luckily my funky & artistically "WOW" friend Susan will be joining in!

And I'm loving the Graph Cards & Arrow stickers included in the PL Kit!PLWK3LTSorry for the photos - grey skies and trying to lighten is PSE clearly isn't working for me! Project Life: Week 1

PLWeek1LeftAll caught up with Project Life but thought I'd start sharing from the beginning. Been using (& loving) add-ons from Cathy Zielske for sale at Designer Digitals as well as including this Subway Art and the PL Digital Kit.
PLWK1RTLike Cathy, I've been summing up the week using one of her journaling cards:WeekOne copyI like being able to write up short little bits on the cards and tiny templates, a lot less pressure than last year.

Been doing pretty well at taking notes and photos so far, people pics seem to be the one thing I need to take more of.

Are you playing along?

4 x 6 Photo Love: The Rest

SeaLifeLong time - no blog. But hoping to change that...starting now.

To get back into it, wanted to share that I did FINISH the 4 x 6 Photo Love series...and on time! The above was for October's, using 10 photos. It was perfect for our visit to the Aquarium at Mall of America.

This one for November has 11 photos with a mirror image background and two more photos on the back of the 6x12. Still need to add some journaling:4X611And last but not least 12 photos, on both fronts & backs of a stack of mats (with some left for journaling) - was perfect for a Birthday layout!11thBirthdayGlad I played along with the free class through all 12 months - so many unique ways to get those big event layouts done.

The last few weeks have been strictly Project Life and I've caught up and plan on sharing Week One tomorrow. Hoping to work on it each Saturday now and finally get to all the other classes I'm signed up for! Nothing new that way!

Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Journal: Day 1

DecDaily01Still have some catching up to do, as in no cover or dividers yet but did finish the first day of December and how we begin with the Advent calendars and our new house guest, Jingles.

Hopefully I can get caught up here the next few days!

The rest of the weekend was full of Reindeer:ReindeerHistorical sites:Hawks Inn02And Holiday Trains: HoidayTrain01All in the rain, not the usual snow but it was still a good time.

Hope you had some Holiday-ness in your weekend!

Elf on the Shelf: Meet Jingles

1322852266223A new tradition has begun with Jingles, our Elf on the Shelf. On the first morning he greeted the kids with their Advent calendars.

And this morning he was found reading "The Autobiography of Santa Claus" - probably making sure the big guy kept it real.

1322852038151He will be one busy Elf this month!

Trying to get some craftiness done, making mirror ornaments for the Tree & some felt pine cones from Pinterest - of course!

Tomorrow the plan is to have Breakfast with the Reindeer in the morning and then the Holiday Train in the evening.

Any Holiday plans for you?

December

2881 copyExcited to begin Journal Your Chirstmas/December Daily again as well as a few other HOPES of craftiness like 12 Artsy Ornaments of Christmas, Holiday Memories, 12 Days of Christmas, revisiting Picture the Holidays and maybe a tag or two from 12 Tags of Christmas.

As well as some Pinterest ideas, BIG hopes, busy month - we will see. Just excited it's December!

Still putting today's pages together but do plan on using Shimelle's Manifesto again this year - just in a little different way but I thought it's too cute not to use so perfect the blog. Changed the color to match my Christmas theme - still on the Blue/White/Silver this year!

Looking forward to seeing everyone's December pages - any other projects in the works?

4 x 6 Photo Love: Around Town

AroundTownBlogFinished September's nine photo layout from the free class at Two Peas, last weekend - as usual always to the last minute. I think this one is one of my favorite sketches from the class.

AroundTown3I had taken some pictures in Town and been meaning to do a layout and this was the perfect one. AroundTown5On the back side of this one I included the Town's Welcome Sign & another one about the history.

This weekend time to get into the Christmas spirit, have a crop with Fiskateers & my good friend, Maya, plan on beginning the Holiday cards & tags. Then Sunday heading to the Madison Holiday Market...and time of course to start thinking about December Daily again! Where did the year go?

Have you figured out any details for your album this year? Or do you stick to the same style?
